The Ave Prepares for a Fall and Winter Full of Festivities

Main Street Vineland is gearing up for a season packed with events, starting with the 14th annual “A Taste of Vineland & Volunteer Recognition Event” on Wednesday, October 22. The event, sponsored by Levari Industries, will be held from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Greenview Inn at Eastlyn Golf Course, located at 4049 Italia Ave.

Attendees will enjoy a wide variety of signature dishes from some of Vineland’s best restaurants, featuring appetizers, main courses, and desserts. The evening will also include a silent auction.

“I can assure you, no one will leave hungry!” said Russell Swanson, Executive Director of Main
Street Vineland.

In addition to the culinary showcase, the night will honor dedicated community members with
three special awards:

Nancy Nordberg will be named Volunteer of the Year for her many contributions, including her work on the Cruise Down Memory Lane, her role as co-chair of this year’s Christmas parade, and her hands-on efforts to beautify downtown Vineland.

Dawn Hunter and the Greater Vineland Chamber of Commerce (GVCC) will receive the Community Partner of the Year award. The award recognizes the strong collaboration and support they have provided to Main Street Vineland on numerous initiatives.

Donata Dalesandro will be honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award, created in memory of Sam Levy. Dalesandro is being recognized for her years of volunteerism, serving as a board member and chair of various teams, and for her countless hours of dedication to downtown Vineland’s success.

Tickets for the event are $45 each, and reserved tables for 10 are available for $450. Tickets can
be purchased here or at the Main Street Vineland office. Restaurants interested in participating can contact the office to learn more.

More Seasonal Fun to Come:
The festivities continue throughout the fall and into the winter:
Pumpkin Patch Party: On Saturday, October 25, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., a Pumpkin Patch Party will be held at the southwest mini-park at the corner of the Boulevard and Landis Avenue. The event will feature pumpkin painting, a DJ with games and dancing for children, costume giveaways, and “trunk-or-treat” candy.
Christmas Parade: One of Vineland’s biggest traditions, the annual Christmas Parade, returns to The Ave on Saturday, November 29, at 5 p.m., with a rain date of Sunday, November 30. This year’s parade, sponsored by Friends of Michael Testa Jr. for State Senate, will feature a float contest, marching bands, and more. Participants and vendors can find registration information on the Main Street Vineland website.
Olde Fashioned Christmas: The Olde Fashioned Christmas event is set for December 5-6 at the new Vineland Convention Center.

With a rich variety of activities, Main Street Vineland encourages residents to make The Ave their destination for shopping, dining, and entertainment this holiday season. By shopping locally, you can save on gas, avoid long lines, and support the community.
