Who has the friendliest smile, the happiest tail wag, or the biggest hometown fan club? Who is Vineland’s Top Dog?
This summer, the search is on for Vineland’s Top Dog! The contest is a community-wide competition celebrating the dogs that make Vineland such a special place to live.
Vineland residents can now officially register their furry companions for a chance to earn the title of Vineland’s Top Dog. Open to dogs residing within Vineland city limits from now until May 31st. The contest hopes to bring together pet lovers across the community while highlighting the city’s canine stars. Whether your pup is known for mastering tricks, greeting every neighbor on the block, or simply being the best companion around, this competition is your chance to show them off.
The contest will officially kick off on Saturday, May 30, with a fun-filled launch event in Downtown Vineland. All dogs are welcome to attend, not just registered contestants. It’s the perfect outing for local pet owners and animal lovers alike. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet the canine candidates, learn more about the upcoming Paws on The Ave Pet Expo, and participate in a scavenger hunt throughout downtown businesses and attractions.
Adding to the excitement, Salty Paws Doggie Ice Cream will be on-site serving delicious pup cups! The four-legged guests can get a special treat while enjoying the festivities.
There is a $15 registration fee. This includes an official contest bandana, a ticket to the Paws on The Ave Pet Expo, and local fame. Voting officially begins on June 1, giving the community the chance to support their favorite dogs throughout the competition.
The winner of Vineland’s Top Dog will be crowned during the Paws on The Ave Pet Expo on July 18 at the Vineland Convention Center. Along with bragging rights for an entire year, the winning pup will receive an official commendation from the mayor’s office and opportunities to appear at future local events as a recognized community dignitary.
To participate, dogs must be licensed with the City of Vineland, and owners must be at least 18 years old. Multiple dogs may be entered by the same owner, though each dog requires a separate registration.
Whether you’re entering the competition or simply cheering from the sidelines, Vineland’s Top Dog promises to be a fun and heartwarming celebration of the pets that bring joy to our community every day.
